Il gateway Intesis Modbus to BACnet consente la connessione di slave Modbus a un controller BACnet. Il gateway funziona come un convertitore di protocollo tra le due reti, in modo che i segnali Modbus RTU e Modbus TCP possano apparire come singoli oggetti BACnet in una rete BACnet/IP o BACnet MS/TP. Ciò consente l'integrazione dei dispositivi Modbus nel BMS BACnet nell'edificio
