FA100 INIM Updates: new features and integrations
The FA100 is an advanced aspirating smoke detector designed for early and efficient fire detection. Equipped with two independent sampling channels and dual light technology, it utilizes infrared and blue light sources for precise particle analysis, minimizing false alarms caused by dust or fog. Each channel can be configured in Class A, B, or C, supporting up to 8, 18, or 51 sampling holes respectively, with a maximum distance of 100 meters per hole. The FA100 is compatible with Inim's addressable fire detection panels via loop connection, enabling the transmission of all signals and controls to the panel, and can also integrate with conventional panels through relay outputs and I/O terminals.
New Devices and Updates for FA100
Recently, the optional FA100-LAN module has been introduced, enhancing the FA100's capabilities by enabling Ethernet connectivity. This module complements the existing FA100-WiFi, offering users a choice between wired and wireless connectivity.
To utilize the FA100-LAN module, both the FA100 detector and the FA-Studio configuration software need to be updated. Through FA-Studio, users can assign a static IP address to the module or activate DHCP, providing flexibility in network configuration.
Key features of the FA100-LAN module include:
Remote Connection via FA-Studio: Users can monitor and configure the detector remotely using FA-Studio software, either through LAN or WiFi connection.
Use of .dll Libraries: The module supports integration with dynamic link libraries, facilitating the development of custom applications for monitoring and managing the detector.
MODBUS Server: Exclusively available with the FA100-LAN module, this feature allows integration of the detector into industrial automation and building management systems that use the MODBUS protocol.
