The ELSNER 60140 building control system, called WS1 Color-2, is a complete and versatile solution for managing various home automation devices.

Key Features

This system is equipped with a 5.7-inch animated color graphic display with touch function, which allows easy and intuitive operation without the need for additional keys. The display is easily readable even in daylight conditions.

Configuration and Connections

The WS1 Color-2 has 2 drive outputs for 230 V or free potential motors, suitable for controlling curtains, blinds, windows and sliding doors. It is possible to connect multiple drive units into a group through a group control relay.

In addition, there are 2 multifunctional inputs for motion detectors, smoke detectors, climate control sensors (independent heating/cooling status), closed contacts (for sliding doors) or triggers for automatic resets.

Security and Automation Functions

The system includes security functions such as activating the alarm of the motion detector that closes the windows, and the activation of the smoke detector that retracts the curtains (escape paths) and starts ventilation (smoke extraction).

Wireless Connections and Sensors

The WS1 Color-2 supports 32 wireless channels for WGTH-UP indoor sensors, Elsner Elektronik ventilation unit, RF relay, RF motor control unit and the Remo 8 remote control. It is also possible to connect 4 external wall buttons.

The integrated sensors allow the measurement of humidity (range 5-95%) and temperature (range -5°C to +60°C).

Languages and Display

The system supports several languages, including English, German, French, and Italian. The display can display current weather data in sleep mode and can be turned off or dimmed to save energy and not disturb the room environment.

Installation and Assembly

The control unit can be mounted on the wall or in a hidden box. The connections are made using screw terminals with a solid conductor cross-section or thin wires from 1.0 to 2.5 mm² and a stripping length of 7 mm.
