The DC2SEM2L traffic light control unit can manage both 24V traffic lights and 230Vac traffic lights as these are driven by clean relay contacts. It has been designed to handle 2 situations. — 2 2-LIGHT TRAFFIC LIGHTS in AN ALTERNATE SINGLE DIRECTION, certainly the most classic and is used in a bottleneck where only one car passes (garage, parking lot, residence, etc.). — 4 TRAFFIC LIGHTS COMBINED WITH TWO OPPOSING TWO to manage A SIMPLE INTERSECTION, on one exit you control a road from both directions of travel and on the other exit the road that intersects both directions of travel. The traffic light control unit can operate with two operating logics, depending on the installation requirement: A Operation without detection devices (TIMED): The alternating times of the phases in which the traffic lights are turned on red or green are defined by the installer through trimmers on board the control unit. The times of the phases are fixed, cyclical times, regardless of the volume of incoming or outgoing traffic. The order of entry and exit of vehicles is defined independently by the control unit in a cyclical manner, turning on the traffic lights as shown below: PHASE 1: Traffic light 1 red light/Traffic light 2 red light; PHASE 2: Traffic light 1 green light/Traffic light 2 red light; PHASE 3: Traffic light 1 red light/Traffic light 2 red light; PHASE 4: Traffic light 1 red light/Traffic light 2 green light; PHASE 5: Restart the cycle from phase 1. The phases in which the traffic lights are both turned on with red light make it possible for vehicles to pass safely throughout the use of the bottleneck, tunnel or alley. B Operation with detection devices: The alternating times of the phases in which the traffic lights are turned on red or green are defined by the installer through trimmers on board the control unit. The difference is that the traffic lights are switched on by the detection of vehicles on the corresponding entrances. In fact, the control unit is equipped with two input inputs, respectively to be able to operate traffic light 1 or traffic light 2. This logic allows for better management of the volume of inbound and outbound traffic. The order of entry and exit of vehicles is therefore defined by the control unit, but the detection devices will allow them to start the phases shown as follows: PHASE 1: Traffic light 1 red light/Traffic light 2 red light; PHASE 2: The first detector to detect a vehicle will allow the corresponding traffic light to turn on green, for example: Detector 1 detects a traffic light a green light/Traffic light 2 red light; PHASE 3: At this point the control unit can manage 3 different conditions that may occur: PHASE 3A: Once the vehicle has passed and in the absence of other measurements in both directions, the 2 traffic lights will turn red, restarting the cycle from PHASE 1; PHASE 3B: If additional vehicles pass on the same side where the traffic light is already on green and THERE IS NO VEHICLE WAITING on the other side, the traffic light will continue to be green as long as it detects vehicles on the same side. Once the vehicle has passed and in the absence of other measurements in both directions, the 2 traffic lights will turn red, starting the cycle again from PHASE 1; PHASE 3C: In the event that additional vehicles pass on the same side where the traffic light is already on with a green light and in the meantime A WAITING VEHICLE has arrived on the opposite side, the traffic light currently on with green light will remain on for a maximum time. This time is defined by one of the trimmers on board the control unit so as to allow the vehicles to enter alternately.
