The Suntracer KNX Basic, code ELSNER 3096, is a weather station designed for integration into building automation systems using the KNX protocol.

Logic and Configuration

The Suntracer KNX Basic has 8 AND logic gates and 8 OR logic gates, each with 4 inputs. Each switching event, as well as 8 logic inputs (in the form of communication objects), can be used as inputs for the logic gates. The output of each port can be optionally configured as 1 bit or 2 x 8 bit.

Power and Connectivity

The device operates with a supply voltage of 20 to 30 V DC, with a maximum consumption of 100 mA and a remaining ripple of 10%. The connection to the KNX systems is via a KNX +/- bus connection terminal.

Physical Characteristics

The Suntracer KNX Basic has a white/opaque plastic housing and can be mounted on the wall. The dimensions are approximately 96 x 77 x 118 mm (L x H x D), with a weight of about 170g. The degree of protection is IP 44, and the ambient operating temperature ranges from -30°C to +50°C, while for storage it ranges from -30°C to +70°C.

Configuration and Use

The configuration of the device is carried out using the KNX ETS software. The collected data can be used to control switching outputs based on adjustable threshold values for each parameter or through communication objects.

The Suntracer KNX Basic also includes two stainless steel installation bands for installation on poles.
