The E-Flex is a sensor for the detection of intrusions, for the internal protection of buildings. It adopts proven stress-sensitive cable technology to the needs of indoor security applications. The indoor security system combines the Stellar patented triboelectric cable sensor with a new and compact signal processor, specially designed to work with the wide range of surfaces and materials that one has to deal with when it comes to protecting structures such as walls, ceilings, roofs, warehouse cages, floors and pipelines. The E-Flex 3i offers effective and affordable protection for warehouses, banks, caveaux, ammunition depots, weapons storage rooms and a variety of commercial and industrial establishments. Since the sensitive element of the E-Flex is a simple low-profile coaxial cable, it can be easily mounted on or in walls, ceilings, roofs and false floors. The sensor cable can be attached directly to these surfaces or be installed in tubes that are in turn attached to the surfaces to be protected. A single signal processor can monitor up to 600 meters of sensor cable. E-Flex is microphone and also provides an 'internal listening' function for alarm reporting. The E-Flex sensor cable is completely controlled with cuts and short circuits. A supervisory current of 5 micro amperes passes through it, and is therefore inherently safe and can be used even in hazardous environments.
