The Sewi KNX L indoor light sensor, ELSNER code 70695, is a device designed for the KNX bus system, ideal for measuring brightness in rooms and adjusting outputs based on predefined limit values.

Technical characteristics

This sensor is characterized by a brightness measurement between 0 and 2,000 lux, with a resolution of 1 lux in the 0-2,000 lux range. The threshold values can be adjusted by parameter or through communication objects.

Logical Functionality

The sensor includes 8 AND logic gates and 8 OR logic gates, each with 4 inputs. All switching events, as well as 16 logic inputs in the form of communication objects, can be used as inputs for logic gates. The output of each port can be optionally configured as 1 bit or 2 x 8 bit.

Multifunction Modules

The device has 8 multifunction modules that allow you to modify the input data through calculations, condition queries or conversion of the type of data point.

Installation and Physical Characteristics

The Sewi KNX L sensor can be installed on a surface, wall or ceiling. Its structure is made of plastic, available in two colors: white similar to signal white RAL 9003 and jet black RAL 9005. The dimensions are about 105 mm in diameter and 32 mm in height, with a weight of about 45 grams.

Protection and Environmental Conditions

The device has an IP 30 degree of protection and can operate in an ambient temperature range from -25°C to +80°C and a non-condensing relative humidity of 5-95%.
