ELSNER 70697 Sewi KNX AQS/TH-D- jet black RAL 9005 KNX Sensor C

The ELSNER 70697 sensor belongs to the SEWI KNX series, designed to detect and manage various indoor environmental parameters.

General Characteristics

This sensor is made of plastic and available in two colors: white similar to RAL 9003 signal white and RAL 9005 jet black. Its size is about 105 mm in diameter and 32 mm in height, with a weight that varies between 45-80 grams.

Installation

The sensor can be installed on the wall, ceiling or surface, offering flexibility in choosing the optimal position.

Protection and Operating Environment

The sensor has an IP 30 degree of protection and operates in an ambient humidity range from 5% to 95% RH, not condensing.

Detection Features

The ELSNER 70697 model is specifically designed to detect:

• Temperature: with a measurement range from -25°C to +80°C.
• Humidity: with a measurement range from 0% to 100% RH.
• Presence: using the passive infrared (PIR) detection method, with a coverage angle of about 94° × 82° and a range of about 5 meters.
• Brightness: with a measurement range from 0 to 2000 Lux, with the possibility of measuring and outputting higher values.

Integration with the KNX Bus

The sensor operates on the KNX bus with a TP1-256 medium and an S-Mode configuration mode. It supports up to 2000 group addresses and 2000 assignments. The nominal voltage is 30 V DC SELV, with a maximum power consumption of 10-20 mA. The connection is made via KNX terminals.

Control Features

The measured values can be used to control switched outputs based on predefined limits. The conditions can be connected via AND and OR logic gates. Multifunction modules modify input data as required through calculations, condition queries, or data point type conversion.

All CO2 and humidity sensors are equipped with an integrated PI controller for controlling a ventilation system, while all temperature sensors have a PI controller for controlling a heating/cooling system.
