ELSNER 30159 RW-PF rain/wind sensor

<p/the ELSNER 30159 product, called RW-PF Rain/Wind Sensor, is a specialized device for measuring wind speed and detecting precipitation. This combined sensor is designed to provide accurate and reliable data under different weather conditions.

Key Features

The RW-PF sensor is made of a plastic housing, available in white or translucent. Its structure allows a combined mounting on a wall or on a pole.

Environmental Resistance

The device is classified with IP 44 protection and can operate in a temperature range from -30°C to +50°C, while the storage temperature ranges from -30°C to +70°C.

Electricity supply

The RW-PF sensor can be supplied with a voltage between 12 V and 35 V DC, or between 12 V and 28 V AC. Current consumption varies depending on the supply voltage: 180 mA at 12 V DC, 90 mA at 24 V DC, 150 mA at 14 V AC and 55 mA at 28 V AC.

Measurements and Alarms

The device measures wind speed electronically, ensuring accuracy and reliability even in hail, snow and sub-zero temperatures. The wind speed measurement covers a range from 0 to 35 m/s.

Alarms

• The output for the rain and wind alarm is provided through dry contacts, which can be used as normally open or normally closed.

• There are warning LEDs for rain and wind on the board.

• In the event of a malfunction of the wind sensor, the wind alarm is activated and the power LED in the case blinks. The malfunction is also activated if there have been no changes in the measured wind value within 48 hours (anomaly monitoring).

Precipitation Sensor

The precipitation sensor is heated (about 1.2 W), avoiding false signals due to fog or dew. The sensor dries quickly after the end of the precipitation.

Dimensions and Assembly

The dimensions of the device are approximately 96 mm x 77 mm x 118 mm (width x height x depth). The mounting can be carried out both on a wall and on a pole, thanks to its versatile structure.
