ELSNER's Fabro KNX control panel and display is designed for use in harsh, outdoor environments, offering robust protection and unprecedented ease of use.

Technical characteristics

The panel is equipped with an anodized aluminum housing, obtained by cutting a monolithic block, which guarantees excellent protection against environmental agents.

Protection against Environmental Agents

The Fabro KNX meets the protection requirements according to DIN EN 60529/VDE 0470 Part 1:2014-09, with an IP6X rating for protection against foreign solid bodies and IPX6 for protection against water ingress.

Protection Details

• IP6X: Total protection against dust and solid objects.
• IPX6: Protection against powerful water jets from different angles.

Display and User Interface

The panel has a 7-inch real glass display, with a continuous touch surface. The input/output areas have been designed to be extra large, facilitating operation even in poor visibility or with gloves.

Display functionality

• Each area can be used as a button or display.
• More than 100 symbols are available, with the ability to display values or colors.
• Data can be transmitted in a format from 1 bit (switching) to 14 bytes (texts).
• Up to 40 input/output options are available on 5 pages.

Control and Automation Capabilities

In the KNX application, the panel includes 8 calculators for data conversion and 8 AND and OR logic gates each. In addition, up to 8 events are defined in the alarm module, with the possibility of displaying texts, flashing the display light or emitting an acoustic signal in the event of an alarm.

Installation and Materials

• The housing is made from an anodized aluminum block.
• The front surface with display and touch surface consists of a continuous sheet of glass.
• The panel can be surface-mounted or flush-mounted, with options for wiring.
