Rain Measurement

The integrated rain sensor is equipped with a heater that consumes about 1.2 watts, ensuring that false signals do not occur due to fog or dew. The sensor dries quickly once the rain stops. The “Rain” output is a dry switch contact that can be used as a normally open or normally closed contact, with an additional alarm LED on the board.

Wind Measurement

The wind force is measured electronically, ensuring a silent and reliable recording even during hail, snow and sub-zero temperatures. The sensor also records turbulent air and anabolic winds in the vicinity of the weather station. The wind threshold value can be set using DIP switches inside the enclosure. The “Wind Alarm” output is a dry switch contact with an additional alarm LED on the board.

Alarm and Monitoring Functions

• In the event of a malfunction of the wind sensor, the wind alarm is activated and the power LED in the container blinks. The malfunction is also triggered if there has been no change in the measured wind value within 48 hours.
