ELSNER 30154 P04/3-RS485 Weather Station RS485 base

The ELSNER 30154 product, called P04/3-RS485 basic, is a weather station designed to measure and transmit meteorological data with precision and reliability.

General Characteristics

The weather station is made of plastic material, with a white and translucent color. The dimensions are about 62 mm x 75 mm x 155 mm, with a weight of about 90 grams. The IP44 protection guarantees weather resistance and the possibility of mounting both on the wall and on poles.

Environmental Conditions

The station can operate in an ambient temperature range from -30°C to +50°C and can be stored in a range from -30°C to +70°C.

Power and Connectivity

The power supply is 24 V DC with a tolerance of ± 10%. The connection is made through a 4-pin M8 connector, with a current carrying capacity of 5 A. It is advisable to use line protection if the power source can deliver more than 5 A.

Sensors and Measurements

Temperature Measurement

The station measures the temperature in a range from -40°C to +70°C.

Wind Speed Measurement

The wind speed is measured electronically, ensuring precision and silence even in conditions of hail, snow and temperatures below zero. Turbulent air currents and anabolic winds in the vicinity of the station are also recorded.

Brightness Measurement

Brightness is measured with three separate sensors for east, south and west, with the ability to recognize dusk and dawn. The measurement range is from 0 to 99,000 lux.

Data transmission

Weather data is transmitted via the RS485 (SELV) interface at the same potential as the 24 V supply voltage.

• Connection cable of about 10 meters with plug and connection terminals.
• Surface mount junction box (IP 55) for indoor use.
• Ø 40-60 mm thread clamp suitable for Ø 35-55 mm poles.
• 4x50 mm stainless steel round head screws and 6x30 mm dowels for wall mounting.
