Description

The ELSNER 30140 P03/3-RS485 basic weather station is a robust and compact device designed to measure various weather parameters with precision and reliability.

General Characteristics

The weather station is housed in a plastic enclosure, white and translucent, with dimensions of about 96 × 77 × 118 mm and a weight of about 160 grams. The IP 44 protection guarantees weather resistance.

Installation and Power Supply

The station can be wall-mounted and operates with a supply voltage of 24 V DC ± 10%. The connection is made using screw terminals, compatible with solid or fine fiber conductors with a cross section of 0.5 to 1.0 mm² and a stripping length of 6 mm.

Measurement Parameters

  • Temperature: The station measures the temperature in a range from -40°C to +80°C.
  • Wind: The wind speed is measured using an electronic sensor that is not subject to wear, with a range from 0 to 35 m/s. This sensor is resistant to storms and hail.
  • Brightness: Brightness is measured with three separate sensors for east, south and west, also detecting dawn and dusk thanks to special filters.
  • Precipitation: The heated rain sensor (about 1.2 W) avoids false signals due to fog or dew and dries quickly after the end of the rainfall.

Data Output

The data is transmitted via RS485 interface, with a transmission cycle that can be set up to 1 second.

Environmental Conditions

The station can operate in an ambient temperature range from -30°C to +50°C and can be stored in a range from -30°C to +70°C.

Electrical Consumption

The maximum consumption is 130 mA with a residual wave of 10%.
