OPAL Pro is a motion detector designed to protect the entire structure, the surrounding area and the interior of the building where difficult or special environmental conditions prevail (e.g. warehouses, under canopies). OPAL Pro uses two detection channels, infrared and microwave. The detector is equipped with an active IR anti-masking function (for internal protection) meeting the requirements of the EN 50131-2-4 Grade 3 standard. OPAL Pro can be used to protect premises at high risk of theft that require high degree of protection, for example: jewelery shops and the interiors of public buildings.

The dual detection technology combined with the auto-tuning algorithm to environmental conditions provides high immunity to false alarms, ensuring stable operation in adverse weather conditions, such as rain, snow, fog, intense sun and strong gusts of wind . The detectors can operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +55°C. Changes in ambient temperature are automatically compensated.

OPAL Pro detectors are characterized by a detection angle of 100 degrees and a range of over 15 metres. Furthermore, with the anti-crawl function, the area under the sensor is protected from evasion attempts. OPAL was designed with the pet immunity function to avoid the activation of false alarms caused by the passage of small animals.

The OPAL Pro detector is equipped with a twilight sensor with an OC output, so it can also be used in home automation systems – avoiding the purchase and installation of an additional sensor. The twilight output signal can be connected directly to the relay located in the electrical panel or to the home automation controller. The detector also interfaces with KNX systems via INTEGRA series control units. The functions of OPAL Pro allow you to automate in a simple and convenient way: roller shutters, the external lighting of a building, the garage door or the gate entrance, regulating the moment of activation precisely thanks to the regulation of the sensitivity.

A great help for the installer is the function that allows you to remotely adjust the sensitivity of the detector and the twilight sensor using the OPT-1 remote control. Configuring the detector is therefore easy and eliminates the need to repeatedly open the case to change settings.

For the production of OPAL detector covers, bi-component injection technology is used. Through the combination of polycarbonate and thermoplastic elastomer, the IP54 protection degree has been recognized. This case protects the electronics against atmospheric agents such as rain, snow, fog or humidity. OPAL detectors are characterized by high mechanical resistance and resistance to UV rays in order to keep the external appearance unchanged for years.

The OPAL series detectors can be installed directly on the wall if, for example, you want to activate the pet immunity function or with the BRACKET C (white) and BRACKET C GY (grey) support. It is possible to use the ball joint and the corner support. For additional protection of the device against atmospheric precipitation and fouling, the HOOD C (white) or HOOD C GY (grey) protective cover can be installed on the detector housing
