AGATE is a curtain motion detector intended for perimeter protection.

It constitutes a suitable solution to protect all the structures, the interior of the building and the surrounding area.

AGATE detectors guarantee excellent perimeter protection for any building and can also be used for internal protection in those systems where difficult or particular environmental conditions are present (e.g. warehouses, sheds, ...). To detect movement, AGATE uses two channels, infrared and microwave, whose sensitivity can be controlled independently. AGATE is equipped with an active IR anti-masking function that meets the stringent requirements of the EN 50131-2-4 standard for Grade 3. Therefore, the sensor can be used to protect premises with a high risk of theft that require a high degree of protection , for example jewelery shops or the interiors of public buildings.

The dual detection technology combined with the auto-tuning algorithm to environmental conditions provides high immunity to false alarms. Therefore, they offer stable operation in adverse weather conditions, such as rain, snow, fog, intense sun and strong gusts of wind. Curtain detectors offer correct operation over a wide temperature range: -40°C to +55°C. Changes in ambient temperature are automatically compensated.

The AGATE curtain detector has a detection angle of 10 degrees and a range of 14 m. At that distance, the emitted beam has a width of about 1 m. The sensitivity adjustment of the detection channels is set with the two independent trimmers on the device board.

The detector body is made of a combination of polycarbonate and thermoplastic elastomer with two-component injection technology. The degree of protection obtained is IP54, which makes the detector suitable for outdoor applications. AGATE is characterized by high mechanical resistance and resistance to UV rays.

The detector can be installed directly on a flat surface or using a special bracket that allows installation at a 90° angle. When installing the detector inside the building, it is also possible to use the adjustable BRACKET A and BRACKET B joint.

If it is necessary to separate the detector from the wall it is possible to use the BRACKET E-AGATE modular joint, which allows you to space AGATE up to 17 cm to go beyond, for example, a spotlight or a gutter, which can limit the coverage area. The joint also allows you to install BRACKET A and BRACKET B on it (recommended for indoor installation).

All the joints listed above are suitable for wall and ceiling mounting. BRACKET E and BRACKET B are equipped with internal ducting for cable passage, which improves protection and safeguards the aesthetic value of the installation.
