Based on the Tyndall effect (light diffusion), the ED100 detector is able to give a quick and effective response to the first onset of a fire outbreak, capable of detecting a wide range of particles generated by combustion. The design of the chamber, the sealing of the upper part of the detector, the mesh with 500 micron mesh against the entry of insects guarantees an exceptional rejection of false alarms. The sensitivity can be modified to adapt the detector to the different conditions of use (adjustable sensitivities: 0.08 dB/m − 0.10 dB/m − 0.12 dB/m - 0.15dB/m).
