The GS903N acoustic glass breakage sensor combines high immunity from false alarms with excellent detection by recognizing the exact frequency pattern generated by a broken glass. Instead of listening to a low sound at one or two characteristic frequencies, the GS930N listens to 30 points across the frequency spectrum of glass breakage. This feature not only guarantees the discrimination of common sources of false alarms, but also ensures detection in the case of low-noise glass breaks, so it can also be used in the presence of light curtains. The GS903N is recommended for perimeter protection and is designed to work even in occupied areas. In 24-hour applications, where the detector remains inserted all day and night, the technology that discriminates against false alarms is pushed to its limit. Some sounds may duplicate the points of the glass breakage pattern that the GS903N detects. It is therefore recommended to install the GS903N in a perimeter system so that it is inserted every time the door and window contacts are inserted. The GS903N's false alarm immunity is better in rooms with moderate noise. For protection in areas occupied 24 hours a day, our shock detectors must be used. The GS903N may not regularly detect cracks in the glass or bullets that pass through the glass. Glass break detectors should always be combined with internal protection.
