The 3G Module for ProSys™ Plus and LightSys™ 2 is an easy-to-install plug-in module that allows the system to communicate on cellular networks for reporting, control and programming. It can be used as a primary communication or as a backup for IP or PSTN communication in case another communication channel is unavailable. Event reports to monitoring stations can take place vocally, via SMS or IP using a RISCO IP receiver. Events can be sent with SIA/IP and Contact ID protocols. Using the multi-socket 3G GSM module, end users can have control over the system using DTMF or SMS. In addition to that, end users can rest assured and receive real-time SMS, voice messages and notification emails. The 3G/GSM module also supports bidirectional communication: this is an advantage especially when caring for older people, because it allows bidirectional communication between users in case of emergency.
