The KLD67 liquid detector has been designed to detect the presence of water or other conductive liquids. In this way, it is possible to control particular environments or rooms where a flood could cause serious damage to the equipment installed there. The sensitivity of the detector is ≤25KΩ, the presence of a resistance in this range of values causes the fall of an active safety optorelay that goes from closed to open contact. The relay can be used to drive loads of up to 150mA 60Vcc, in the event of a power interruption, the relay signals an alarm (open circuit). The unit can be positioned at will simply placed on the ground or attached to a vertical wall at the desired height. An optional bracket is available for floor mounting. When a layer of water, even as small as one mm, comes into contact with the terminals, the unit goes to an alarm. The nominal power supply is 12Vcc but a power supply in the range 10.5-28.5Vcc or 24Vac is also accepted, so that the unit can be used with systems also powered at 24Vcc or 24Vac. A positive signal on the test terminal simulates an alarm.
