The device is designed to be integrated into KNX automation systems, offering a wide range of functionality for controlling and managing different equipment.

Dimensions and Assembly

The dimensions of the device, without the plate, are 71x71x25 mm, while the frame for 3 modules measures 130x92x11 mm. The assembly takes place through a built-in box, compatible with English, German or Italian 3-module boxes [1] [2>.

Food and Communication

The device is powered via the EIB/KNX bus with a voltage of 21 ÷ 32 V DC and a maximum consumption of 30 mA. It is configurable through the ETS® application program and supports the KNX Data Secure protocol [1] [2>.

Control Functionality

The device integrates a two-stage thermostat with integrated PI controller, allowing the control of heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils. It also has an on-board temperature probe and a rear input configurable as digital or analog, allowing the connection of an additional NTC temperature probe [1] [2>.

User Interface

On the front side there is a capacitive bar with swipe function for implementing programmable KNX functions. In addition, a freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus [1] [2>.

Logic and Programming

The device has 32 logical blocks for creating simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with conditional algebraic operators. It also supports predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or dew point calculation. It also integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic” to manage scenarios and sequences of objects [1] [2>.

Applications

The device's field of application includes the management of hotel rooms, with the possibility of integrating magnetic sensors for managing on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, and other programmable command and control functions [1] [2>.
