The KNX TL-Pr-up Touch CH presence sensor, code 70853, is a versatile and highly integrated device for the KNX building bus system. Key Features

The sensor uses a passive infrared (PIR) detection method for the detection of presence, with a horizontal coverage angle of about 150° and vertical of about 35°, and a detection range of about 5 meters.

Brightness Measurement

The luminosity measurement is possible in a range from 0 to 20,000 lux, with the possibility of setting a brightness limit value through parameters or communication objects.

Temperature Measurement

The sensor measures the temperature in a range from -5°C to +60°C, considering the self-heating of the device and compensating it through the software.

Button and LED functionality

The device includes two integrated touch buttons (bus buttons) and two red LEDs that can be freely assigned to bus controls. The buttons can be configured as switches, toggles, dimmers, or as an 8-bit or 16-bit encoder for calling and storing scenes.

Logic and Communication

The sensor has two AND logic gates and two OR logic gates, each with four inputs. All of the switching events and the eight logic inputs (in the form of communication objects) can be used as inputs for the logic gates. The outputs of each logic gate can be optionally configured as 1 bit or 2 x 8 bits.

Installation and Configuration

Installation, testing and operational start-up must be carried out exclusively by a qualified electrician. The device is supplied with a housing and a mounting adapter with screws. A windproof input housing and a cover frame (for 60 x 60 mm insert) and a mounting plate (77 mm) are also required for the Swiss installation standard.
