<p The KNX STANDARD presence sensor (PD00E01KNX) by EELECTRON is a versatile and highly configurable device, designed for ceiling installation and intended to manage the detection of presence and the control of ambient lighting.

Key Features

<p The sensor integrates a passive infrared detector for presence detection, with 5 independent and configurable channels for different functions. This makes it possible to infer the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors and to distinguish different behaviors, including the detection of an unexpected presence.

Lighting Control

<p The device includes a brightness sensor for controlling ambient lighting. It is possible to activate the logic of the “Circadian Rhythm”, which imposes brightness and color temperature based on predefined curves or the real position of the sun during the day with respect to a terrestrial coordinate, ensuring lighting comfort similar to natural lighting.

Thermostatic functionality

<p The sensor integrates a two-stage thermostat with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating, cooling equipment, valves, and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils. One of the three digital inputs can be configured as analog for connecting NTC temperature probes, allowing temperature measurements to be sent to the KNX network or to manage a complete thermostatic module.

Inputs and Outputs

<p The device has a rear connector with 3 digital inputs that can be connected to buttons or switches without potential, which can be used for on/off controls, dimmers, curtains or blinds, scenarios, sequences, step commands, etc.

Logic and Programming

<p There are 12 logical blocks available to implement simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. It is possible to use predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or the calculation of the dew point.

Virtual Holder Logic

<p The device includes the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, which is particularly useful in hotel rooms. Using a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, it is possible to manage accurate presence information.
