The EELECTRON PD00E03KNX-3 presence detector is a versatile and multifunctional device designed for integration into KNX automation systems. This device is ideal for ceiling installation up to a height of 4 meters.

Key Features

The PD00E03KNX-3 includes a series of sensors that allow complete control of the environment:

• Brightness sensor for controlling ambient lighting.
• Humidity and temperature sensor with related control algorithms.
• Sound sensor that can be used in rooms with parts that are not completely visible to the infrared sensor.

Presence Detection

The presence detection is based on a passive infrared sensor and offers 5 independent channels that can be configured with different functions, such as the detection of presence with or without brightness control and with automatic or semi-automatic activation.

Input and Functionality

The device has a rear connector with 3 digital inputs that can be connected to free potential buttons or switches, which can be used for on/off controls, dimmers, curtains or blinds, scenarios, sequences and step controls. One of the digital inputs can be configured as analog for connecting NTC temperature probes (codes TS00A01ACC/TS00B01ACC), allowing temperature measurements to be sent to the bus or to manage a complete thermostatic module.

Thermostatic and Humidity Functionality

The thermostat manages 2 phases with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating and cooling appliances, valves, 2- and 4-pipe fan coils, etc. The humidity sensor manages the measurement of environmental relative humidity and allows the control of humidification and dehumidification devices with thresholds and hysteresis.

Logic Blocks and Advanced Functionality

There are 12 logical blocks available to implement simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. The device also integrates the “Virtual Holder Logic” logic, useful in applications in hotel rooms, where a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input provides precise information on the presence.

Use and Occupancy Features

The usage function allows you to enable functionality for mapping the state of spaces and their availability, such as space occupancy and usage rate. In addition, the occupancy function collects useful data for processing information relating to the intensity of the occupants' activity in the monitored areas, allowing the generation of a 'heat map' of the building areas.

Technical characteristics

The device is powered via EIB/KNX bus with a voltage of 21÷32 V DC and has a current consumption of less than 10 mA. The dimensions of the device are 81 x 81 x 11 mm, with a weight of approximately 120 g.
