The KNX presence sensor EELECTRON code PD00E09KNX is an innovative device designed for the control and management of lighting in rooms with heights of up to 16 meters. This sensor is part of Eelectron's KNX product range, developed for automation and energy savings in buildings.

Key Features

The PD00E09KNX presence sensor uses a passive infrared sensor to detect the presence of people in the environment. It offers several configurable features:

• Presence with or without brightness control.
• Automatic or semi-automatic detection.
• Constant brightness independent or dependent on presence with automatic or semi-automatic activation.

Connections and Configurations

The device has a rear connector with 3 digital inputs that can be connected to buttons or switches without potential, which can be used for on/off controls, dimmers, shutters or blinds, scenarios, sequences, step commands, etc. One of these inputs can be configured as an analog for connecting NTC temperature probes (eelectron codes TS00A01ACC/TS00B01ACC) to send the temperature measurement to the KNX bus.

Logic and Functionality

The sensor includes 12 logical blocks for implementing simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. It also integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, useful for applications in hotel rooms, where presence is managed through a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input.

Lighting Management

The device manages ambient lighting based on the measured brightness and allows the “Circadian Rhythm” logic to be activated, setting brightness and color temperature based on predefined curves or the real position of the sun during the day with respect to a terrestrial coordinate.
