The KNX STANDARD EELECTRON PD00E00KNX-3 presence sensor is a versatile and highly configurable device, designed for ceiling mounting and integrated into the Multi.Sensor range.

Key Features

This sensor uses a passive infrared sensor for presence detection, with 5 independently configurable channels and several activatable functions.

Presence Detection

The presence detection solution can infer the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors. In addition, the device can detect an unexpected presence and differentiate different behaviors.

Digital and Analog Inputs

The sensor has a rear connector with 3 digital inputs that can be connected to potential-free buttons or switches. These inputs can be used for on/off controls, dimming, shutters or blinds, scenarios, sequences and step-by-step commands. One of the digital inputs can also be configured as analog for connecting NTC temperature probes.

Thermostat and Climate Control

The device integrates a two-stage thermostat with integrated PI controller for controlling heating and cooling equipment, valves, 2- and 4-pipe fan coils, etc.

Logic Blocks and Advanced Functionality

There are 12 logical blocks (in the basic version) or up to 32 logical blocks (in other configurations) available to create simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. You can use predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or dew point calculation.

Virtual Pocket Logic

The device includes the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, particularly useful for hotel rooms. Through a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, accurate presence information is managed.

Nutrition and Conditions of Use

The power supply is via EIB/KNX bus with a voltage of 21 ÷ 32V DC and a maximum consumption of 30 mA. The conditions of use include an operating temperature of -5 °C to +45 °C and a storage temperature of -20 °C to +55 °C, with a non-condensing relative humidity of up to 90%.
