The ARCUS-EDS 60400008 KNX-GW-MBUS SK08 gateway is designed to integrate M-Bus devices into a KNX bus system. This device acts as a link for connecting and transmitting data between the M-Bus meters (water, electricity, energy, etc.) and the KNX bus.

Device Configuration and Identification

Connected M-Bus devices can be addressed regardless of their ID using the broadcast ID (only for the SK08 variant). This greatly simplifies system configuration, especially in scenarios with a limited number of devices.

Power supply and bus topology

The gateway can power up to three M-Bus devices. The bus topology is not critical and does not require terminations. The theoretical maximum bus length is 4 km, but in practice it should not exceed 10 meters to ensure good immunity to disturbances.

• Maximum power consumption: about 550 mW (at 24 VDC).
• It does not require auxiliary power; the coupler bus is integrated.
