Technical characteristics

These bolt cutters are made from high-quality materials, including heavy chrome-vanadium steel, forged and hardened in several stages. The cutting blades are induction hardened, reaching a hardness of about 62 HRC.

Cutting performance

KNIPEX 71 72 460 bolt cutters have a steel cutting capacity of up to 48 HRC. The cutting specifications are as follows:

• HRC 40: Ø 6 mm
• HRC 48: Ø 5 mm

Design and Construction

The handles are ergonomically angled to minimize effort and are made with a multi-component, anti-slip, two-color coating. The cutter head is ribbed and can be replaced.

The very flat construction of the head and the articulated area ensures good access to the cutting points. The forged retainer includes a comfortable shock absorber.

Adjustment and Maintenance
