Nexus and Nexus/G are devices for GSM connectivity on second-generation 2G networks. The Nexus devices, once connected to the control unit, provide an additional communication channel in addition to the PSTN, a channel from which it is possible to send voice or digital calls on the GSM/3G network. With Nexus, the control panels send automatic or customizable SMS for each event and in addition, the control panels can also receive commands given via SMS. So it is possible to activate or deactivate scenarios and outputs, request device status and much more. The same operations are also possible with the recognition of a given calling number (CallerID).
