The ACCO-KP2 module is designed for the control of a single gate (e.g. door) within the ACCO or ACCO NET access control system. The module can also be used as a stand-alone device. User authorization is based on code or passive transponder (proximity card, tag, etc.) or DALLAS iButton chip.

The device features a wide range of settings, including the ability to define user rights and schedules individually for each user, including weekday scheduling. A history of over 24,000 events is kept in memory. ACCO-KP2 is equipped with 2 OC type outputs (e.g. for the operation of turnstiles and bidirectional gates) and 1 relay output to operate the electric lock or other door activation device. Thanks to additional inputs and outputs, the module can operate in combination with the alarm system.

The configuration and some functions of the ACCO-KP2 may be different due to the system the controller is part of. Within the ACCO system the module is programmed via a PC with the ACCO-SOFT-LT software installed. The PC can be connected via the RS-485 bus using the ACCO-USB converter. In the ACCO NET system, the access control module is connected to the ACCO-NT access control unit via the RS-485 bus. Communication between the control panel, the system server and the computer with the ACCO Soft configuration software is carried out using the TCP/IP protocol.
