Fiber optic module for the ATS BUS.

ATS1743 is an RS485 connected to a fiber optic interface that allows you to directly extend the Advisor MASTER or Advisor Advanced data bus with optical fiber.

The maximum distance of the fibers can reach 1 km from the next ATS1743 and it is possible to cascade up to a maximum of 2 pairs (remaining within the optical budget of 15 dB) if the length of the copper data bus does not exceed 1.5 km to the control panel.

The great advantage offered by optical fiber is that, in general, it is not subject to electromagnetic interference and the need to transmit signals again is almost non-existent.

The ATS1743 system was designed exclusively for multimode optical fiber and can operate in 2 modes:

• Monodirectional - two
• Bidirectional fibers - one fiber
On the unit there are two

independent optical channels that can be used (with two fibers) if more power is needed in case of signal loss at the junctions and so on. The least expensive connection to implement is the bidirectional one. In this case, a single fiber is needed.
