The FDO100 optical smoke detector constantly monitors the air present in the protected area in order to promptly generate the fire alarm and at the same time offers a high level of protection against false alarms. The alarm condition occurs when the smoke level inside the optical chamber exceeds the alarm threshold; in this case an alarm message is transmitted to the MC100 module which notifies the fire detection control unit connected to it. The alarm signal can reach the MC100 module directly or via one or more ESPMC100 expansion modules. The latest generation smoke inlet openings of the optical chamber ensure a very high level of protection against the penetration of dust, thus increasing the time interval between one maintenance and the next.
