Product Description

The 2N 9137420E external RFID card reader is a device designed to connect to a PC via a USB interface. This reader operates at a frequency of 125 kHz and is particularly suitable for system management and the enrollment of EM41xx cards through the 2N Access platform.

Technical characteristics

The RFID reader works similar to a keyboard, sending codes corresponding to the numeric keys on the top row of the keyboard. This requires setting up an English keyboard in the system.

Setup

• Set up an English keyboard in the system.
• Access the device's web interface and navigate to the “Directory/Users/Specific user/User Cards” section.
• Click on the 'Card ID' field and make sure it's completely empty.
• Pass the RFID card or fob over the external reader. The code is automatically translated from DEC to HEX.
• Save your settings.

Use

This reader is ideal for enrolling and managing RFID cards in access and intercom systems. It does not require specific drivers, simplifying integration with existing systems.

compatibility

• Compatible with firmware 2.23.1 and earlier, as well as with firmware 2.24.0 and later.
• Note: If you add an RFID to the Access Commander using the external reader, you must follow a different procedure.
