The 2N external RFID card reader with an operating frequency of 13.56 MHz is designed to be used as a secondary reader in combination with an internal reader. This device allows you to control access to the cards from an external position, for example to open the door from inside the building.

Connectivity and Configuration

The reader is interconnected to the 2N intercom system via the Wiegand interface. For the configuration, it is necessary to access the web configuration menu of the 2N intercom and set the “Interface mode” parameter to input, thus specifying that the intercom will accept data from the external card reader.

In the web interface, be sure to set “Wiegand 26 bit” in the “Hardware” - “Extenders” section.

Installation

The installation and configuration procedure is the same for both versions of the RFID reader (125 kHz and 13.56 MHz). For the 2N IP Vario, IP Force and IP Verso models, follow the specific instructions for each model, connecting the cables according to the instructions provided.

If you are using an external power supply, you do not need to connect the power cable.
