This device is designed for wall installation and offers a wide range of functionality for managing various automation systems.

User Interface

On the front side, there is a capacitive bar with swipe function that allows the implementation of programmable KNX functions. In addition, it has up to 8 mechanical keys (16 channels) that can be configured to manage on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions [1] [3] [4>.

Sensors and Thermostats

The device integrates temperature and humidity sensors, as well as two two-stage thermostats for the control of two distinct areas. Each thermostat is equipped with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils [2] [4>.

Visualization and Logic

A freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus. The device has 32 logical blocks for creating simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. Predefined algorithms are also available for proportional temperature and humidity control or dew point calculation [1] [2] [3>.

Presence Detection

The device integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, which is particularly useful in hotel rooms. Through a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, accurate presence information is managed. The presence detection solution can infer the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors and also detects an accidental presence, differentiating multiple behaviors [1] [2] [3>.

Compatibility and Installation

The device is compatible with the main standards (Italian, German, English, Swiss) and can be installed on a box of 2 or 3 modules. The configuration takes place through the ETS® application program and the device communicates with the KNX Data Secure protocol [1] [2] [3>.
