The KNX metal button of the OL-U® KNX® series, code SO08A01KNX-3M, is designed for wall installation and offers a wide range of functionality for managing domestic and industrial automation systems. This device is equipped with up to 8 mechanical keys, which can be configured to manage on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions.

Key Features

• Configurable through the ETS® application program and compatible with the KNX Data Secure protocol.
• It integrates a two-stage thermostat for the control of two distinct areas, both with integrated PI controller for controlling heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves, 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.
• On the front side there is a capacitive bar with swipe function for implementing programmable KNX functions.
• A freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus.

Logical and Presence Features

The device has 32 logical blocks with which to create simple expressions with a logical or threshold operator, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. You can use predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or dew point calculation.

In addition, the device integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, ideal for application in hotel rooms. This function manages accurate presence information through a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, making it possible to infer the presence of people in the room and to detect accidental presences, differentiating multiple behaviors.

Design and Compatibility

The Metal Edition includes finishes for the keys and metal plates, offering an elegant and robust appearance. The device is compatible with the main installation standards (Italian, German, English, Swiss) and can be installed on a box of 2 or 3 modules.
