EELECTRON BK42MT-GO Product Description

The KNX metal button of the OL-U® series, code SO08A01KNX, is a versatile and highly configurable control device, designed for wall installation. This product features metal finishes for the keys and plates, giving an elegant and robust appearance.

Key Features

The KNX SO08A01KNX button has up to 8 mechanical keys, which can be configured to manage on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions. Each button can manage up to 16 channels, offering great flexibility in implementing the desired functions.

Configuration and Communication

The device can be configured through the ETS® application program and communicates using the KNX Data Secure protocol, ensuring high security and stability in the control network.

Control functions

The button integrates a two-stage thermostat for controlling two distinct areas, both with an integrated PI controller. This allows the control of heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.

User Interface

On the front side of the device there is a capacitive bar with swipe function, which allows the implementation of programmable KNX functions. In addition, a freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus.

Logic and Algorithms

The device has 32 logical blocks for creating simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. Predefined algorithms are also available for proportional temperature and humidity control or dew point calculation.

Presence Detection

The device integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, which is particularly useful in hotel rooms. Using a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, the system manages accurate presence information. The presence detection solution can infer the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors and also detects accidental presences, differentiating multiple behaviors.

Compatibility and Installation

The KNX button of the OL-U® series is compatible with the main standards (Italian, German, English, Swiss) and can be installed on a box of 2 or 3 modules.
