User Interface

On the front side of the device there is a capacitive bar with swipe function, which allows the implementation of various programmable KNX functions. In addition, a freely configurable RGB LED bar allows the display of states or other quantities available on the KNX bus.

Control Functionality

The SO08A01KNX button of the OL-U® KNX® series can be installed on the wall and has up to 8 mechanical keys (16 channels), configurable for managing on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions.

Thermostatic Control

The device integrates a two-stage thermostat for the control of two distinct areas, both with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.

Logic and Programming

It is possible to configure the device through the ETS® application program and communicate with the KNX Data Secure protocol. 32 logical blocks are available to create simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. In addition, predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or dew point calculation can be used.

Presence Detection

The device integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, which is particularly useful in hotel rooms. By means of a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, accurate presence information is managed. The presence detection solution can infer the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors and also detects accidental presences, differentiating multiple behaviors.
