Compatibility and Installation

The kit is compatible with the KNX OL-U switch, which can be installed on a box of 2 or 3 modules and complies with the main international standards (Italian, German, English, Swiss).

Functionality of the KNX OL-U Switch

The KNX OL-U switch, with which this key kit is compatible, has up to 8 mechanical keys (16 channels) to manage on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions. The configuration takes place through the ETS® application program and the device can communicate with the KNX Data Secure protocol.

Additional Functionalities

On the front side of the switch there is a capacitive bar with swipe function for implementing programmable KNX functions. In addition, a freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus.

The device also integrates a two-stage thermostat for the control of two distinct areas, both with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves, 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.

Logic and Presence

The device includes 32 logical blocks for creating simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with conditional algebraic operators. In addition, it integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic” for the management of accurate presence information, for example in environments such as hotel rooms.
