The KNX metal button of the OL-U® KNX® series is a versatile and highly configurable control device, designed for wall installation. The SO08A01KNX-3M model features metal finishes for the keys and plates, offering an elegant and robust appearance.

Key Features

This device is equipped with up to 8 mechanical keys, which can manage up to 16 channels for on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions.

Configuration and Communication

The device is configured through the ETS® application program and supports communication with the KNX Data Secure protocol, ensuring high security and reliability in the management of automation systems.

Control Functionality

The device integrates a two-stage thermostat for the control of two distinct areas, both with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.

User Interface

On the front side there is a capacitive bar with swipe function for implementing programmable KNX functions. In addition, a freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus.

Logic and Programming

The device has 32 logical blocks for creating simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. Predefined algorithms are also available for proportional temperature and humidity control or dew point calculation.

Virtual Pocket Logic

The “Virtual Pocket Logic” is a specific function for the application in hotel rooms. Using a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, the device manages accurate presence information, deducing the presence of people in the room and also detecting accidental presences, differentiating multiple behaviors.

Compatibility and Installation

The device is compatible with the main standards (Italian, German, English, Swiss) and can be installed on a box of 2 or 3 modules.
