The AOCD-260 curtain detector has a very narrow detection beam, only 0.6 m thick and 10 m wide. The device, which detects movement when the border of the protected area is crossed, can be a component of perimeter protection. It works as part of the ABAX 2 / ABAX two-way wireless system. The product complies with EN 50131 Grade 2 requirements (for internal use).

The detector has two detection technologies, infrared and microwave, which can be adjusted independently. The detection is based on digital signal processing supported by dynamic temperature compensation, which ensures the correct operation of the detector in the temperature range from -40°C to +55°C. AOCD-260 supervises the motion detection system and indicates any faults in its operation. The detector is characterized by high immunity to false alarms.

Device configuration and firmware update are performed remotely. Radio communication within the ABAX 2 system is encrypted with AES.

The AOCD-260 has a three-color LED that indicates, for example, violations in test mode.

The detector is powered by a 3 V CR123A battery. When the charge level is lower than the set value, the detector signals that the battery is low. The “ECO” option (available only in ABAX 2) extends the operating time of the device by up to four times without replacing the battery.

The device has a polycarbonate casing (with IP54 protection rating). The detector is equipped with tamper protection against opening and removal from the holder. Can be mounted directly to the wall (Grade 2) or alternatively using the corner bracket.

To increase the distance of the detector from the wall, by about a dozen centimetres, it is possible to use the BRACKET E AGATE modular support. Especially if there is a gutter or a lamp in the vicinity of the device, which can limit the entire range of the device's detection range. A special insert for AGATE / AOCD-260 detectors will allow their installation also using supports such as BRACKET E AGATE and BRACKET B (recommended for internal installations)
