EELECTRON IO14A01BLE Product Description

The EELECTRON IO14A01BLE sensor, also known as SPACE BLE, is an innovative device designed for integration into building automation systems based on the KNX protocol. This sensor combines several functionalities to provide complete and efficient control of the environment.

Integrated sensors

The device includes a brightness sensor for controlling ambient lighting, humidity and temperature sensors with related control algorithms, and a sound sensor that can be used in environments with parts not totally visible to the infrared sensor.

Sensor Functionality

• Brightness Sensor: Measures ambient lighting and adjusts lighting based on the detected values. It is possible to activate the “Circadian Rhythm” logic to set the brightness and color temperature based on predefined curves or the real position of the sun during the day.
• Humidity and Temperature Sensors: They manage the measurement of relative humidity and temperature, allowing the control of humidification and dehumidification devices with configurable thresholds and hysteresis.
• Sound Sensor: Used to detect the presence in areas not completely visible to the infrared sensor.

Presence Detection

The detection of presence is based on a passive infrared sensor with 5 independent configurable channels, which can be activated with different functions: presence with or without brightness control and with automatic or semi-automatic detection.

Connectors and Inputs

• Rear connector: It includes 3 digital inputs that can be connected to potential-free buttons or switches, which can be used for on/off commands, attenuation, curtains or scenery, sequences, step-by-step commands, etc.
• Analog Input: One of the digital inputs can be configured as analog for connecting NTC temperature probes, allowing the temperature measurement to be sent to the bus or to manage a complete thermostatic module with two-stage control and integrated PI regulator.

Additional Functionalities

The device integrates the “Virtual Holder Logic” function ideal for hotel rooms, which manages presence through a magnetic sensor installed on the door. In addition, it includes the 'Utilization' function to map the state and use of spaces, and the 'Occupancy' function to collect data on the intensity of the occupants' activity, generating a 'heat map' of the monitored areas.

BLE technology

The sensor includes an antenna with BEACON BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) function compatible with iBeacon® and Eddystone® formats. This technology allows you to send messages to mobile devices, which must have an app to retrieve information from BLE beacons.

Integration with Door Lock Systems

The device can be integrated with the plug-in wireless door lock system interface (IC01H10DLS) for managing door opening and closing data and automating KNX room management, managing up to 8 doors.
