The ELSNER 70992 ambient temperature controller, model Cala KNX T 201 Sunblind, is a sophisticated device designed for integration into the KNX bus system. This controller combines temperature regulation and curtain, awning or shutter control functions.

Environmental Conditions

The controller can operate in an ambient temperature range from -5°C to +45°C and in a non-condensing relative humidity of 0% to 95%. The storage temperature ranges from -25°C to +70°C.

Functionality

The controller has a temperature control zone with two areas (warmer, cooler) and LEDs that can be set for ambient lighting. Features include:

• Temperature measurement with a range from -5°C to +60°C
• Mixed value from own measurement and external values
• Temperature control with PI controller for heating and cooling (one or two levels)
• 2 AND logic gates and 2 OR logic gates each with 4 inputs
• Recall scenario function and configuration as an 8 or 16 bit switch, selector or encoder
• Control of curtains, awnings or blinds with two areas (up/down with short/long distinction)

After applying the bus voltage, the device enters an initialization phase lasting a few seconds, during which it cannot receive or send information via bus.
