The ELSNER 70863 product, known as Cala KNX M1-T CH, is a control button integrated with a temperature sensor, designed for use in the KNX automation system.

General Characteristics

The device has an elegant design with a housing made of authentic glass, plastic and metal, available in two colors: white (RAL 9010) and black (RAL 9005).

The dimensions of the device are 60mm x 60mm, with a mounting depth of at least 10mm. The total weight is about 50 grams.

Technical Characteristics of the KNX Bus

The Cala KNX M1-T CH uses the TP1-256 medium and works in S-Mode mode. It supports up to 183 group addresses and 183 assignments.

The nominal voltage is 30V DC SELV, with a maximum current consumption of 15 mA. The KNX connection terminals accept conductors with a diameter of 0.6 to 0.8 mm and a stripping length of 5 mm.

After the bus voltage is restored, the device takes about 5 seconds to receive the data.

Temperature sensor

The device includes an integrated temperature sensor that measures temperature in a range from -5°C to +60°C. The measurement can be combined with external values received via bus, with the possibility of adjusting the proportion between the measured values.

The compensation for the self-heating of the device is managed by the software, ensuring the accuracy of the measurement.

Button and Control Features

The touch-sensitive button allows various control functions, including the management of AND and OR logic with up to 4 inputs each and 8 logic inputs as communication objects.

The LEDs can be configured to indicate various states and the button can be set to turn on or off after a press, with adjustable turn-on times.
