2N 9160501 AXIS A9188 Network I/O Relay Module

The 2N 9160501 network input/output relay module, also known as AXIS A9188, is a specialized solution for controlling access to elevators. This module is designed to integrate with 2N access systems and elevator controllers to ensure secure and manageable access control.

Technical characteristics

The module has:

• 8 digital inputs/outputs, with open drainage, up to 40V and 100mA maximum.
• 8 C-shaped relays with NO/NC contacts, up to 1A and 48V maximum.

Network Interface

The module communicates with 2N devices via IP protocol using HTTPS, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.

Applications and Configurations

The AXIS A9188 module can be configured in different scenarios for elevator control:

• A third-party RFID card reader in the elevator cabin can be connected via Wiegand to a 2N access unit, which in turn communicates with the AXIS A9188 module via IP.
• A 2N access unit or a supported intercom can be installed in the elevator cab, requiring an Ethernet connection from the machine room. This is the most convenient setup.
• For elevator cabins without an Ethernet connection, 2N® 2Wire converters can be used to provide IP and PoE connectivity through the elevator's traveling cable.

Requirements and Licenses

To use the AXIS A9188 module, you need:

• Firmware 1.65.0.2 or later for the AXIS A9188 module.
• Access Commander 2.0 or later with Gold license (including elevator control license) for 2N devices.
• Compatible with 2N models such as IP Style, IP Verso, IP Force, IP Safety and IP Vario.

Control Functionality

The module manages access to elevator floors based on user authorization on 2N devices. Each relay can control up to 8 floors and up to 8 AXIS A9188 modules can be connected to a 2N access unit.

The opening/closing time of the relays can be set to 10 seconds (configurable) to allow the authorized user to press the floor button in the elevator within the specified time.
