Unique design
The FDD710 single-sample tube analysis chamber has been developed for smoke detection in ventilation ducts; the equipment combines in a single container a smoke detector and a particular adapter equipped with a Venturi tube that allows the air to be analyzed inside the analysis chamber itself. The system meets all the requirements for safe fire detection with an airflow velocity from 0.2 m/s to 20 m/s.

FDD710 has been designed to accommodate almost all types of point sensors; the equipment adapts to the characteristics of the sensor base (not included).

Installation
The unit is easily installed on ventilation ducts. The single-tube structure of the FDD710 ensures a correct flow of air over the entrance to the analysis chamber and the outlet. The unit comes with a standard 600 mm long sample tube. FDD710LP is an additional sampling tube 1.5 meters long and can be used in larger ducts. If required, these tubes can be cut to the correct length.
The robust ABS plastic container provides the analysis chamber with a completely hermetic enclosure, essential for proper air sampling; at the same time, this container can operate in a wide temperature range. For installations on circular-shaped or irregularly shaped ducts, a special bracket called FDD710MB can be used to fix FDD710.

There is an internal terminal block suitable for connecting the sensor cables.

Simple maintenance
The detector inside the analysis chamber is easily tested thanks to a special test hole on the equipment; therefore, the removal of the FDD710 side cover is not required. A sensitive flow indicator shows the amount of air flowing through the analysis chamber. Depending on the type of sensor used, it is possible to obtain a “Clean me” maintenance request in the Central Unit rather than a maintenance report.
