The Cala KNX MultiTouch T button, model 70950, is a control device for home automation systems integrated into the KNX bus system. This button has a glass surface with touch-sensitive areas for controlling light and temperature.

Functionality

The device includes three operating areas for light control, allowing you to switch and adjust the brightness. In addition, it has three areas for temperature control, with heating, cooling and mode switching functions.

Configuring Operating Areas

• 9 total areas, each of which can be assigned to specific bus functions or to individual functions such as switches, switches, brightness regulators, curtains, blinds, shutters, windows, 8 or 16 bit encoders and call/scene.
• The areas can be configured as switches, selectors, 8-bit or 16-bit encoders, or for other specific functions.

LED indicators

The LEDs integrated in the operating areas can be set in different modes:

• All LEDs off or on.
• Active LEDs always on.
• All LEDs on for a specific time after pressing the button.
• Active LEDs on for a specific time after pressing the button.
• Setting the brightness of the LEDs for day and night.
• Option to flash the LEDs at the value of the block object = 1.

Installation and Physical Characteristics

The button is designed to be mounted recessed into the wall, using a Ø 60 mm and 42 mm deep junction box or a blind wall housing for a Ø 68 mm hole.

Environmental Conditions

The device can operate and be stored in a temperature range from -25°C to +85°C and a maximum relative humidity of 95% without condensation.

Temperature Control

The Cala KNX MultiTouch T includes an integrated temperature sensor and can receive external temperature readings via bus, processing the data to create a total temperature value. It has a PI controller for heating and cooling, allowing you to change the setpoint temperature using the “+” and “-” buttons.

Logic and Communication

Communication objects can be connected via AND and OR logic gates. The device is compatible with the KNX bus system and can be integrated perfectly into the building's interior equipment.
