The AW5648 power unit is a power amplifier with a power of 480W. The RJ45 input on the device allows connection with the preamplified B711-G call bases via a shielded SFTP CAT.5E cable. The rear input (TEL/EMERG) is balanced with a transformer and with automatic activation of precedence (VOX). The adjustment of the level and the intervention threshold are present on the rear panel. This input can be used to connect to the appropriate audio output of a telephone exchange. This device is characterized by a large number of protective devices against overloads and short circuits, such as the output current peak limiter circuit, the thermal switch located inside the power transformer, the restorable thermal switch placed in contact with the power transistor heatsink and the network fuses. In addition, it is equipped with a cooling fan, with automatic speed control depending on the temperature of the heatsinks on which the power devices are applied. The AW5600 series amplifiers are equipped with an electronically balanced line input/output with a double XLR socket; a female and a male socket in order to facilitate the cascade connection between multiple power units. To connect a sound source directly, a second unbalanced input can be used via a double RCA socket for the use of standard stereo cables.
