Yuasa's NPC24-12 maintenance-free lead/battery (pile or AGM technology) battery for cycling applications.

The maintenance-free lead-acid battery's highly absorbent microporous separator binds a maximum amount of pure electrolyte and permanently isolates the electrodes from each other. This allows the battery to operate in any position, even upside down, without loss of capacity

The electrodes are made of a special antimony-free lead alloy. This translates into very low self-discharge, less than 3% per month. The robust housing material is ABS plastic that is resistant to shocks and breakage, as well as to corrosion and aging
